SCU14 Wasp Z1B Mil-Tec Softshell Jacket

The Mil-Tec SCU14 softshell jacket is designed for outdoor activities, tactical leisure and travel in cool or variable weather. Its three-layer laminated structure combines outer resistance, moisture protection and thermal insulation.

Its CIV-TEC® WASP I Z1B camouflage combines mainly grey, white and mineral tones. It is suited to rocky terrain, mountainous areas, spaces above the tree line and lightly snow-covered environments.

Protective and breathable three-layer softshell

The outer layer is made of 96% polyester and 4% elastane. Its weight of 310 g/m² provides a robust construction while maintaining the flexibility needed for movement.

The mid layer features a breathable polyurethane membrane. It helps reduce the effects of wind and protect against external moisture.

The polyester fleece inner layer provides softness and helps retain heat during activities in cool weather.

Membrane with 5,000 mm water column

The membrane has a stated water column of 5,000 mm. It provides protection suited to light or moderate showers encountered during outdoor activities.

Its breathable design promotes the evacuation of water vapour produced by the body. It thus helps limit the build-up of moisture inside the jacket.

The SCU14 is an intermediate solution between a classic fleece and a heavier waterproof jacket.

Zipped underarm vents

Zipped openings are placed under the armpits to quickly increase air circulation.

They allow heat to be released during sustained hiking, physical activity or movement with equipment.

The openings can be closed when intensity decreases or temperature drops to retain more heat.

Wasp Z1B camouflage for rocky and mountainous terrain

The CIV-TEC® WASP I Z1B pattern uses fragmented shapes combining light, grey, brown and slightly greenish shades.

It is designed for rocky areas, mountainous terrain, environments above the tree line and areas with low vegetation.

Its light tones may also suit partially snow-covered landscapes or transitional periods between autumn and winter.

Multiple secured zip pockets

The jacket features several zipped chest pockets. They keep accessories accessible while reducing the risk of loss.

A zipped inner pocket provides additional storage for a phone, documents or small personal items.

The various closures are fitted with wind guards to limit cold air ingress.

Retractable hood and practical adjustments

The hood stores directly in the collar when not in use. It can be deployed quickly in case of wind or rain.

The cuffs are adjustable via hook-and-loop straps to precisely adapt the opening around the wrists.

The adjustable hem allows the lower part of the jacket to be tightened to improve its fit and reduce air ingress.

Reinforced elbows and patch panels

Reinforced elbows improve the resistance of areas exposed to friction and repeated contact with the ground or equipment.

Several hook-and-loop panels allow patches, identification strips or compatible insignia to be attached.
