WOLFHOUND Jacket - PL Woodland - Helikon

The Helikon-Tex WOLFHOUND PL Woodland is a lightweight insulating jacket designed for outdoor activities, field use and everyday wear in cool weather. It combines a WindPack® nylon shell with Climashield® Apex™ 67 g/m² synthetic insulation, offering warmth, minimal bulk and good performance in humid environments. It stands out for its versatility as a lightweight outer layer or as an insulating mid-layer under additional protection.

Climashield® Apex™ insulation warm even when wet

Its Climashield® Apex™ 67 g/m² insulation is one of the model's greatest assets. This synthetic fiber retains its thermal properties when exposed to moisture, unlike insulating materials that are more sensitive to water. It remains lightweight, breathable, compressible and quick-drying, making the jacket particularly suited to changing conditions and moderate outdoor exertion.

Lightweight WindPack® nylon shell, windproof and breathable

The outer shell in 100% WindPack® nylon effectively protects against light wind and helps preserve insulation performance. This fabric also provides a good balance between lightness, breathability and durability. The jacket can therefore be worn alone in cool or lightly humid weather, while remaining supple enough to integrate into a layering system.

Four zipped pockets for practical field access

The WOLFHOUND features four zipped pockets: two lower front pockets, one external chest pocket and one internal pocket. This configuration makes it easy to organize small items, while maintaining simple access to useful objects during hiking or in the field. Several product sheets also highlight that the pocket layout remains practical even when wearing a backpack.

Compressible jacket, approx. 450 g in size L

With a weight of approximately 450 g in size L, this jacket remains easy to transport and takes up little space in a pack. Its compressible structure allows it to be carried as a thermal safety layer without adding too much weight to the equipment. It is generally presented as suitable for temperate conditions of 10 to 18°C, wet conditions of -5 to 10°C and dry conditions of -15 to -5°C, confirming its versatile orientation.
