MOAB 3 Tactical 8" ZIP WP Boots Black – Merrell

The Merrell MOAB 3 Tactical 8" ZIP WP are high-cut intervention boots designed to offer protection, comfort and grip during extended professional use.

Their 8-inch high upper, waterproof membrane, side zip and Vibram® TC5+ outsole make them a model suited to interventions, patrols and activities requiring stability and protection on various terrains.

Waterproof and breathable membrane to stay dry

The boot integrates a waterproof membrane designed to prevent water from entering while allowing moisture produced by the foot to escape.

The upper combines mesh and faux leather with a waterproof coating, while the breathable mesh lining promotes comfort during long periods of wear.

A bellows tongue also helps prevent dust, small stones and other external elements from getting inside.

Side zip for quick donning during intervention

The side zip considerably facilitates putting on and removing the boots without having to redo the lacing entirely.

This feature is particularly useful in a professional context where speed of equipment donning can be important.

With an upper height of approximately 8 inches, or 20 cm, the MOAB 3 Tactical also provides significant ankle coverage.

Air Cushion™ and COMFORTBASE™ cushioning for comfort

The removable and contoured COMFORTBASE™ insole is designed to follow the shape of the foot and improve comfort during extended wear.

At the heel, the Merrell Air Cushion™ technology absorbs impacts and helps improve stability.

The midsole also benefits from the Super Rebound Compound, designed to offer lasting shock absorption, reduce torsional stress and promote a smoother midfoot transition.

A moulded nylon shank completes the assembly to improve support.

Vibram® TC5+ outsole for optimal grip

The Vibram® TC5+ rubber outsole is designed to provide excellent grip on a variety of terrains.

It offers a balance between traction, stability and durability, allowing the boots to be used in both urban environments and on more uneven outdoor surfaces.

The toe cap and heel also feature abrasion-resistant rubber reinforcements, protecting areas particularly exposed to impacts and friction.

Odour control and recycled materials

The boots feature a Cleansport NXT™ treatment for natural odour control, particularly useful during extended days of wear.

The laces and specified textile elements are made from 100% recycled materials, incorporating recycled components into the boot's design.
