This I'D S self-braking descender from the Petzl brand is practical and secure thanks to its locking catch on the movable side plate for rope installation while keeping the device connected to the harness and its Auto-Lock system to easily position yourself at the work station without manipulating the handle or creating a stopping knot (rope locks as soon as the handle is released). Moreover, the storage position of the handle reduces the risk of snagging when the descender is carried on the harness.
