Mid-height hiking shoe from the Lowa brand.
I walked with these shoes for over 400 km on difficult and very varied terrain. It's been nearly a year that they have accompanied me on my multi-day autonomous adventures.
The very big positive point of these shoes is the comfort! The LOWA Cross sole provides good shock absorption for the joints. I believe these are the most comfortable shoes I have been able to test.
The sole is also designed to protect the foot from stones on difficult terrain thanks to integrated stone guards.
The ankle is very well supported by the lacing system.
The Lowa brand is very well-known in the outdoor world. These shoes are often used by hikers on the Camino de Santiago or on major long-distance trails.
The shoe is waterproof for the first uses, however it will be essential to regularly treat the leather and fabric to maintain the shoe's water-repellent properties.
The only negative point about this product is the rapid wear of the sole. Indeed, the grip of the sole decreases quickly. This is explained by the fact that the rubber of the sole is relatively soft.
