The Torso Addon Ballistic Addition for SMB Inserts - Sand - Tiger Tailor is designed to combine a plate carrier with the ballistic soft inserts of the SMB issued to the French army. It allows working with a plate carrier alone, then quickly adding the soft inserts according to mission needs, the desired level of protection or equipment requirements.

Combines plate carrier and SMB soft inserts

The Torso Addon for SMB inserts is a cover designed for SMB ballistic soft packs. It allows a plate carrier equipped with standalone rigid plates to be complemented with soft inserts, in order to obtain extended protection when the situation or mission requires it.

Compatible with Platecat Gen.3/Gen.4 and Vodcat

This cover is designed to be quickly mounted on Tiger Tailor Platecat Gen.3, Platecat Gen.4 and Vodcat plate carriers. The velcro mounting facilitates installation, removal and adaptation of the configuration according to operational needs.

Quick two-part velcro mounting

The Torso Addon consists of two independent parts. Its outer face features hard velcro zones that attach under the plate carrier via the body-side velcro of the latter. The body-side face of the addon has soft velcro and allows the addition of NATO Ventipads sold separately.

Abrasion-resistant sand Cordura

The Cordura construction offers excellent abrasion resistance for regular professional use. The Sand color integrates into light or desert field configurations, while the adjustable and removable elastic belt effectively holds the back of the addon against the body, as on a Platiger SMB.
