The SWAT-T is currently the preferred tourniquet among law enforcement forces such as gendarmes, police officers, or military personnel. It's extremely easy to use, as it's just an elastic band, versatile, as it can serve as a tourniquet but also as a bandage depending on how tight it's applied, and undetectable as it has no metal parts. Its name SWAT-T comes from the acronym Stretch-Wrap-And-Tuck Tourniquet, which means "tourniquet that is applied by stretching, wrapping (around the limb), and tucking".
