SSIAP is training in Fire Safety Service and Assistance to Persons. It is addressed to people wishing to work as Fire Safety Agent in ERP (Public Access Establishment) or in IGH (High-Rise Building).
The SSIAP 1 trains for the profession of Fire Safety Agent and assistance to persons.
The SSIAP 2 for its part, has a higher rank. It enables training as Fire Safety Team Leader.

Summary:

To join this training, certain PREREQUISITES are necessary. You must have physical aptitudes certified by a medical certificate less than three months old, written and spoken skills and know how to document anomalies observed during rounds. You must also know how to alert emergency services and hold at minimum one of the following first aid certificates: PSC1 for at least two years, First Aid Refresher within the last two years, SST currently valid or PSE1 also currently valid.
This training aims at several OBJECTIVES which are: knowledge of fire behavior and its action on the establishment as well as fire regulations in ERP and IGH, identification of technical installations and knowledge of safety equipment and maintenance. You will learn the limits of your action, but also how to extinguish incipient fires. Finally, to apply your knowledge, you will face practical visits and intervention simulations.

The training lasts 70 HOURS (excluding exam) and costs around €980.00 depending on schools present in several cities in France. Remember to inquire about the different funding assistance solutions available to you: The General Council of your department, the CCAS of your municipality, Employment Center and the AFPR (Pre-Recruitment Training Action) or the CPF (Personal Training Account).
THE EXAM takes the form of a MCQ (Multiple Choice Questionnaire) of 30 minutes in which the candidate must obtain 12 out of 20 and a practical test of 15 minutes of control rounds with detection of anomalies and incidents after which they must be evaluated as "competent" to certify it.
Following this training, you will be able to work in CAREERS in Fire Safety Security Services and Assistance to Persons, such as fire safety agent. Your SALARY will likely vary around €1,300 net per month.

The trainee's PREREQUISITES to access the training are as follows: they must hold the SSIAP 1 or regulatory equivalent, they must have worked for a minimum of one year in an ERP, an IGH or a building subject to the fire regulations of the Labor Code.
During this training, you will be required to validate several OBJECTIVES, such as: team management and leadership, knowledge of signaling panels and knowing how to identify and interpret different signals. You will also need to be knowledgeable about applicable provisions in occupational health and safety regarding fire safety. Finally, you will need to know the procedures and instructions, manage responders, make appropriate decisions and finally know how to implement means facilitating the action of firefighters.
The training lasts 70 HOURS (excluding exam) and will cost you around €1040.
THE EXAM is divided into 3 tests: a written test with an MCQ of 40 questions in 40 minutes, an oral test of leading a 15-minute pedagogical sequence per trainee and a practical test of Central Station management exercise in crisis situation, 20 minutes per trainee.
Once you hold the SSIAP 2, you will then be qualified to advance in rank and thus apply for POSITIONS as Fire Safety Team Leader, assigned to manage personnel. As a result, you will see your SALARY increase on average to approximately €1780/month.
