Their main missions consist of:
Conduct rounds at different hours of the day or night on one or several sites for which they are responsible.
Intervene to perform a doubt clearance in case of malicious acts, intrusion attempts or fire risks.
Rescue, assist or protect people and alert emergency services in case of an accident.
Just like the "classic" security agent, they must also report to their hierarchy about the proper conduct of their mission and any potential interventions. In order to carry out their mission of property protection and site surveillance, the mobile security agent is generally provided by the company with an unmarked vehicle as well as a means of communication.
In order to become a mobile security agent, the person must have a clean criminal record (art. 6 of law 83-629) as well as a B driving license.
The mobile security agent profession requires the following qualities :
Rigor: following instructions, respecting procedures, writing reports.
Autonomy : participating in site opening/closing, performing verification circuits, etc.
Team spirit : the agent usually works in collaboration with a remote monitoring center.
Observation skills and analytical ability: detecting risks, finding the source of an alarm, etc.
Professionalism: showing patience, diplomacy, being presentable, etc.
Obviously, these qualities are not sufficient to practice the profession of mobile security agent. One must also possess the Professional Purpose Qualification for Prevention and Security Agent (TFP APS) as well as a professional card.

The training to become a mobile security agent is the same as that of an ordinary security agent. This is the Professional Purpose Qualification for Prevention and Security Agent (TFP APS), formerly known as the Professional Qualification Certificate (CQP APS). To enroll in this training, the candidate must possess an authorization previously issued by the regional or interregional approval and control commission of CNAPS (National Center for Prevention and Security Activities) less than 3 months old or a professional card number currently valid. The content of the TFP APS training remains unchanged. The exam includes a theoretical part in the form of multiple choice questions and a practical part with a situational exercise. It should be noted that after obtaining the diploma, an update is mandatory every five years.
The salary varies according to working hours, experience and geographical location. A mobile security agent generally starts their career at a salary equivalent to the minimum wage. With experience, their salary averages between 1500 and 2000 € net monthly.
The mobile patrol security agent can decide to move towards other specialties in private security : dog handler, airport security agent, remote monitoring operator. They can also advance by becoming a service manager for example and be required to manage a team of security agents. Finally, they can also decide to enroll in SSIAP training to move towards a fire safety agent position.
