Drones in Private Security

Private security is now confronted with new issues, so it becomes vital to reinvent itself and innovate to be part of the future from now on.

Fast, easy to operate, discreet and capable of evolving in a programmed manner, drones are simply perfect for surveillance missions and reconnaissance of areas that are difficult to access or dangerous. The device is perfectly capable of doing automatic patrol rounds while carrying a thermal camera, with the aim of detecting any intrusion in a defined space.

 Summary:

The use of drones in business

The drone allows better identification of individuals, without exposing the mobile security officer, enables immediate detection of a fire outbreak and saves the company from multiplying the number of video surveillance cameras on the same site. Its stabilized HD 360° camera, optical zoom, thermal camera and the precision of its onboard sensors allow professionals to intervene quickly and efficiently.

Aerial supervision is not intended to replace human intervention. On the contrary, the drone puts its performance at the service of teams responsible for the security of property and people on the ground by delivering additional information to them in real time to facilitate their decision-making. It complements the traditional technical and human means deployed.

The restriction on use

This technology nevertheless has certain limitations. Their capabilities for discreet observation, acquisition and transmission of mass data raise questions about respect for privacy and individual freedoms.

The danger they represent to populations in case of loss of control or to air transport is not negligible. Any flight in built-up areas or near gatherings of people is prohibited except in case of holding a prefectural authorization.

There are also prohibitions on flying over airfields and sensitive sites. Drones remain a very advanced technology, but with very regulated use.

The use of drones in the private security sector allows protection of the company and the security officer in all situations. Even if drones are a real technological advancement, which provide significant support to the security officer, these flying devices also have certain limitations.
