The Ullfrotté 400 black high socks from Woolpower are made of merino wool, sourced from farms in Patagonia or Uruguay where animal welfare is respected. Wear these Swedish socks next to your skin to get the best out of the merino wool qualities, or put them on over Ullfrotté 200 socks for even more warmth.

So far, no synthetic fiber has been able to replicate all the unique qualities of wool, nature's functional fabric. The 400 socks will keep you warm when it's cold and cool when it's hot. If you get wet, the fabric will keep you dry, as wool can absorb up to 30% of its weight in moisture without even feeling damp. And even if you're really soaked, the socks will keep you warm thanks to the chemical process in wool called heat of sorption.

The 400 range from Woolpower is a thicker intermediate layer made from Ullfrotté Original 400 fabric. This fabric is ideal for colder conditions or when you don't plan to move around much. Underneath, you can wear thinner socks such as Ullfrotté 200, designed to be worn close to the body.
